Typographic Trends

A project to represent the typographic changes throughout the ages from the invention of movable type through to the development of digital typography. It also showcases the idea of trends and fads, as the occur in culture and society and how they are shaped by the times and ideals of that era.

In a world where 'trending' means so much for such a short period of time, we look at the history of trends and fads and see the lasting influences on typography and culture as these trends reflected and informed the times in which they were propagated.

A booklet aimed at students and / or anybody interested in understanding the historical context and reasoning behind some of the design elements of typography throughout the ages.
